CUET (Central University Entrance Test) is an entrance exam conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes offered by participating central universities in India.
CUET is a national-level exam that is conducted once a year, usually in the month of May. The participating universities include Central University Delhi, Central University of Haryana, Central University of Jammu, Central University of Jharkhand, Central University of Karnataka, Central University of Kashmir, Central University of Kerala, Central University of Punjab, Central University of Rajasthan, Central University of South Bihar, Central University of Tamil Nadu, and Bengaluru Dr B R Ambedkar School of Economics.
The exam is conducted in online mode and consists of two parts - Part A and Part B. Part A consists of questions from English Language, General Awareness, Mathematical Aptitude, and Analytical Skills. Part B consists of questions from domain-specific subjects.
The eligibility criteria for appearing in the CUET may vary for different universities and programs. Candidates who have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination can apply for undergraduate programs, while candidates who have completed their bachelor's degree or equivalent can apply for postgraduate programs. For research programs, candidates must have a master's degree in the relevant field.
The selection process for admission to the central universities usually includes a combination of CUET scores, performance in the qualifying examination, and/or an interview.
